ZCL Composites Inc. Appoints New Directors

Edmonton, Alberta October 3, 2002 ... ZCL Composites Inc. ("ZCL") is pleased to announce the appointment of Messrs. Fred J. Dyment and Roderick W. Graham to the Board of Directors effective September 27, 2002.

Mr. Fred J. Dyment is an independent businessman and was previously President and CEO of Ranger Oil Limited. Mr. Dyment currently sits on the board of Tesco Corporation and participates as an active board member for a number of private companies.

Roderick W. Graham is a Vice President of ARC Financial Corporation focused on investment management and merchant banking in the oilfield service sector. Mr. Graham currently sits on the board of Innicor Subsurface Technologies Inc.
